Context Otolith Consulting helps organisations shape leadership with balance, clarity and direction. Although their expertise was clear, their identity wasn't. The existing brand relied heavily on text and lacked a clear visual identity. Together, we developed a richer brand language that reflects Otolith's mission: providing stability and direction for organizations to accelerate.
Concept We kept what mattered. The existing logo remained, with its rounded forms informing a broader visual system. The name itself provided a second point of departure. Otoliths —the structures in the inner ear responsible for balance and orientation— became the basis for an art direction built around abstract spheres.
Through motion, the spheres embody Otolith's philosophy of balance, direction and continuous progress, creating a visual language that brings a more artistic and distinctive perspective to consultancy branding.
Design A refined colour palette, a clear typographic hierarchy and a flexible visual system bring structure without becoming rigid. Warm greys, sky blue and fresh yellow provide rhythm and openness, while subtle red accents add focus where needed. Together they create a brand that feels confident, contemporary and recognisably Otolith.
Diagrams The sphere language extends beyond imagery. Together with Panotti, we developed a series of animated diagrams that build on the same visual principles. They help communicate complex ideas with clarity while staying true to the visual identity.
Tone of voice Corporate communication was sharpened into calm, concise short copy. Long-read articles retained the space for reflection and deeper thinking, leaving room for the author's personal writing style.
Digital experience The website shifts from text-led to content-led. A clear typographic hierarchy, original imagery and the visual system work together to make the content easier to navigate and more engaging to explore.
Not every message needs the same depth. Core pages communicate with clarity and focus, giving readers an immediate sense of Otolith's expertise. Long reads and in-depth pages, on the other hand, provide the space to explore ideas, challenge assumptions and share deeper insights. Different rhythms, the same way of thinking.
Result Otolith now has a richer visual identity that communicates with greater clarity, consistency and confidence. The abstract sphere system forms an open visual language that can evolve over time, providing a flexible framework for future content and applications.
