Context Oskar is a multidisciplinary architectural studio operating at the intersection of two core domains: learning and living. Guided by a strong human-centered philosophy and backed by years of expertise, Oskar approached us to sharpen its narrative, claim its dual expertise, and craft a distinctive identity that cemented its position in the market.
Concept & Design To emphasize Oskar’s dual expertise, we created a visual system centered on a consistent division of space. This duality is reflected across all brand touchpoints, including the website, where a recurring split design shapes the layout.
To highlight their human-centered approach, the name was simplified from 'OSK-AR' to 'Oskar,' making it more relatable and easier to pronounce. The logo reflects Oskar’s solid foundation and adaptable nature within a changing society. Digitally, it comes to life through animation, while in print, it appears in different transitional states.
A bold and versatile color palette, inspired by Oskar’s projects, balances vibrant and soft tones.
Typography choices include PX Grotesk, a sturdy yet approachable font, paired with Reckless, which adds a professional and human touch to longer texts. Custom glyphs known as the 'Oskar Symbols' bring a unique signature to the identity, acting as dividers or visual markers that subtly reference the logo’s forms. These glyphs are also used in visuals for Oskar’s five core principles, adding cohesion and reinforcing the brand’s distinctive identity.
Result The new branding captures Oskar’s essence—combining technical expertise with a human-centric approach. The identity system not only ensures recognition across applications but also strengthens Oskar’s positioning as a leader in creating spaces that prioritise people and well-being.
